Thank You!

The Midlothian show ended up taking place smack dab in the middle of a snow storm. We were wondering who would be crazy enough to venture out into the nastiness to catch the show. As it turns out, a good many of you were just crazy enough. You guys were AWESOME!

A fantastic turnout caught a great opening set from Sonus Umbra, followed by the first Fanfare show in over a year. Our first ever playing of the entire Karn Evil 9 suite was a highlight.

Thank you for supporting Chicago prog rock, and we hope everybody made it home safely. Stay warm, and stay tuned for more show announcements…

Upcoming Chicago Area Show!

Fanfare performs the music of Emerson, Lake & Palmer at Sullivan’s Pub in Midlothian, with very special guest Sonus Umbra. Tickets $10 at door. Fanfare’s performance will feature the entire Karn Evil 9 suite and much more classic ELP music. Sonus Umbra opens at 7:30, Fanfare no later than 9:30.

Thank You Arcada!

Friday night’s show at the Arcada Theater in St. Charles, Illinois was an unqualified blast! We knew the Security Project was made up of a formidable group of excellent musicians, but we had no idea how friendly and down to earth they were, nor did we know how much fun their show was to watch. They really captured the sound and spirit of those early 80’s Peter Gabriel shows. We had a fantastic time opening for these guys and really appreciated the crowd’s enthusiasm and support. Thank you to the Arcada Theater folks (especially Kevin Pollack who helped put this show together), the Security Project band and crew, and of course all the fans who came out to support the great music we all love!

Fanfare and classic Peter Gabriel Live! 2/8/2013

We will open the evening for a band made up of former members of Peter Gabriel’s band and King Crimson who reunite for an incredible premiere show, performing music from Gabriel’s Security (1982) and Plays Live (1983) albums, as well as a few sonic surprises. The evening will feature Jerry Marotta on drums; Trey Gunn on bass and Warr Guitar; Fuzzbee Morse on guitar, keyboards, saxophone, and flute; David Jameson on keyboards; Josh Gleason on vocals; and Larry Fast on keyboard sounds and sequences.
